Kaapzicht Steytler Pinotage represents the pinnacle of the estate's winemaking, crafted from a single block of old bush vines on Bottelary Hills — widely considered the birthplace of Pinotage itself. Hand-harvested and whole-berry fermented with cultured biodynamic yeast, the wine ferments to dryness in stainless steel before spending 20 months in French oak barriques, 80% of it new, building real depth and structure. The result is a wine dominated by cherry and red fruit aromas, backed by inky and vanilla notes, where spice and richness create real tension on the palate before resolving into an earthy, elegant finish.
