Red Wine

Intense aromas of cooked plums and cherries, full of fleshy and ripe fruit flavours through to a savoury finish with cinnamon notes.

An unoaked, easy drinking, fruity primitivo

A fantastic example of the rich and full Primitivo grape

Pilùna is a monovarietal Primitivo. Our estate is a few kilometres outside the Primitivo di Manduria DOC zone, so Pilùna falls under the IGT Salento regulations. The name Primitivo derives from the Italian for “first native”, since this is the first black grape variety to be ready for harvesting. The name Pilùna denotes the ancient tuffstone containers used to preserve olive oil and wine.

If you love Primitivo as much as we do then look no further. Hedonistic, opulent and rich - this full-bodied wine is bursting with ripe fruit flavours and a layer of spice. Delicious!

A fabulous oak aged Primitivo di Manduria

Who doesn't love a Primitivo! And this one is top notch.

The chalky white soils give Giravolta bags of ripe cherry and bramble fruit, alongside fine tannins, vanilla and spice from oak ageing.

A smooth, fruity and spicy Primitivo that has spent time maturing in large wooden barrels. From one of our favourite producers!

A blend of 50% Negroamaro and 50% Primitivo from Salento in Italy

A top notch Primitivo Riserva from Masca del Tacco, with structure, elegance and fantastic drinkability.
