Showdown Man With The Ax Sab Sav is a fabulously easy drinking Californian wine that reminds us of why we love this grape variety so much! Ripe blackcurrant and wild berry fruit aromas complimented by sweet vanilla oak. Rich cassis and black cherry fruit come through on the palate as well which is medium bodied, soft and oh-so-juicy. The finish is long and satisfying, framed by the subtle American oak. A great wine for everyday drinking.
The ‘Man with the Ax’ is the nickname for the King of Diamonds in Poker-parlance, and in California, Cabernet is undoubtedly ‘King’. Rich cassis fruit and a good lick of oak make this a plush, easy-drinking example of why it is so highly prized.
