Vriesenhof Unwooded Chardonnay 2025

Vriesenhof Unwooded Chardonnay is a true expression of place from one of Stellenbosch's pioneering Chardonnay producers, highlighting the playful, fruit-forward side of the variety entirely free of oak. Pale and green-tinged in the glass, it shows vibrant pear aromas coupled with creamy, lees-aged notes of freshly baked brioche. The palate has real concentration and lovely weight, balanced by refreshing acidity and lengthy flavours that persist well into the finish. Settled, fermented cool and rested on fine lees for several months to build texture without any oak influence, it's a light, delicate wine built for easy, versatile drinking — equally at home with Italian dishes or simply grilled seafood.
